About NLL UnBOXed

The National Lacrosse League’s continent-wide grassroots initiative, NLL UnBOXed™, begins where many young athletes first discover their love of sport: gym class.

Built to expand access to lacrosse across North America, NLL UnBOXed™ introduces the game through school-based physical education, donated equipment, and community programming designed to inspire lifelong players, fans, and future ambassadors of the sport.

As lacrosse builds toward its return to the Olympic stage at the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles, the League is scaling NLL UnBOXed™ to reach approximately 46 communities across North America, creating new pathways for students and young athletes to engage with the sport in both established and emerging markets.

What began with nine inaugural NLL UnBOXed communities, alongside the League’s existing team markets, has quickly expanded to 34 activation markets, with continued growth planned in the years ahead.
